From my kitchen to theirs—proud to join the Lasagna Love Project, an incredible initiative that brings hot meals to those in need. Today marked my first lasagna delivery ever! Not only did I get the chance to feed a lovely family, but I also learned how to cook lasagna from scratch. Lasagna Love is all about community support and spreading kindness one dish at a time. Feeling blessed to be part of this movement.

This weekend, I found myself with some spare time and decided to dive into another recipe. On the recommendation of my long-time friend, Venita W., I opted for a classic—chocolate chip cookies. Venita was a huge help in preparing the cookie dough but also joined me in distributing the cookies. We visited several areas around Atlantic City and New Brunswick, close to my campus, where there’s a significant homeless population. It was a heartwarming experience to share a little homemade sweetness with those in need.

This Sunday marked a special day for me as I embarked on a new journey to give back to my community. With the guidance and support of Pastor Frank, who has been a supportive figure since childhood, I decided to bake and donate my first batch of homemade treats to my local church. Since I was a baby, the church has been like a second home, and I’ve seen how people love to donate food to share during breaks in services. Inspired, I baked my ‘first’ batch of brownies to say thanks and share some love. Doing something small that could make our usual gathering a bit sweeter felt heartwarming.
